Clocks: How many times a day does the bigger hand cover the little one? - clocks

In most hits:
If your hands are at midday / midnight, the hour hand covers the hour hand - even if, like many other times when they really on top of each other? An example would be 6:30, but not in a clock or clock. Good luck!

  1. In just a period of 24 hours from midnight to midnight, there are 25 crossing points of the hands.

Midnight at noon on the following midnight, more than an hour in any medium.

Once removed, and although this issue is the answer really 23 steps in a precise period of 24 hours. Thus: --

    00.00 - Midnight
    01.05
    02.11
    03.16
    04.21
    05.27
    06.32
    07.38
    08.43
    09.49
    10.54
    12:00 - Noon
    13.05
    14.11
    15.16
    16.21
    17.27
    18.32
    19.38
    20.43
    21.49
    22.54
    00.00 - Midnight

Other times of 12, morning and evening, are of course approximate.

It merely demonstrates that seemingly simple question, which often turns out to be more complicated than anything!
